New English Translation
5 Whoever obeys his[a] command will not experience harm,
and a wise person[b] knows the proper time[c] and procedure.
6 For there is a proper time and procedure for every matter,
for the oppression[d] of the king[e] is severe upon his victim.[f]
7 Surely no one knows the future,[g]
and no one can tell another person what will happen.[h]
